Families often tell us personal things about their children when they reach out. This policy explains what Arcadia Literacy & Learning, LLC ("Arcadia", "we") collects through arcadialiteracy.com and through inquiries made from it, how we use that information, and who we share it with.
This policy covers our website and inquiries. Once a child is enrolled, assessment results, program notes, and billing records are handled separately as part of our work with your family.
What we collect
What you send us
When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number, child's grade, preferred location, the program you're asking about, and anything you write in the message box. That message may include details about your child's learning, health, or school experience, so please share only what you're comfortable with. You can also reach us by phone or email instead.
What's collected automatically
When you visit the site, we and our service providers may collect the pages you view, where you click on them, how you arrived, your general location, your browser and device type, your IP address, and technical errors. If you arrive from an ad, we may also receive information about that ad click.
How we use information
- To reply to your inquiry and arrange the next steps with your family.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To measure whether our advertising leads to inquiries.
- To protect the site and our forms from spam and abuse.
We don't add you to a mailing list because you contacted us, and we don't sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to run the site and respond to families:
- Asana and Resend deliver your inquiry to our team as a task and an email, including your message. The Asana task also shows how you found our site.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form submission comes from a person.
- Vercel hosts the site and processes requests to it.
- PostHog gives us visit statistics and reports site errors. When you send an inquiry, it receives the location and program you chose, but not your name, contact details, or message.
- Google provides Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Ads. See below for what Google receives.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or if our business is transferred to a new owner.
Google Analytics and Google Ads
We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and Google Ads to measure our advertising. Google may set cookies and collect information about your visit, including the pages you view.
When you send an inquiry, Google is told that an inquiry happened, along with the location and program you chose. Your email address and phone number are also scrambled (hashed) in your browser and sent to Google, so it can match the inquiry to an ad you clicked. Your message is never sent to Google.
If you arrive from one of our ads, the site may show a Google forwarding phone number. Calls to it reach us as usual, and Google reports details such as the call's time, length, and the caller's area code.
We don't use the pages you read on this site to target ads to you. You can learn how Google uses information from sites like ours, manage your settings in My Ad Center, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Cookies and embedded content
We set one cookie of our own, called arc_attr, which lasts 90 days. It remembers how you first and most recently reached the site, such as the ad, campaign, or website that brought you here and the page you landed on. If you send an inquiry, that information goes with it so we can see which efforts help families find us.
Google's tools may set cookies, as described above. PostHog runs on this site without cookies and doesn't record your screen or what you type. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
Some pages include content from other companies, such as Google Maps on our Locations page and YouTube or Vimeo videos on some blog posts. Those companies may collect information when that content loads, under their own privacy policies.
We don't currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
Children's privacy
Our website is meant for parents, guardians, and professionals. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information directly from them. If you believe a child has sent us information through this site, please contact us and we'll delete it.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiries for as long as we need them to work with your family, keep accurate business records, and meet our legal obligations. We then delete them or keep them in a form that no longer identifies you.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you or your child by contacting us below. We'll respond within a reasonable time, though we may need to keep some records where the law requires it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we receive, but no website or email system is completely secure. Please don't send highly sensitive documents through the contact form. We'll arrange a safer way to share them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
