Before recommending a program, we take time to understand your child, review existing testing and information, gather any additional data we need, and meet with you to explain our recommendations.
We are experts and we're here to genuinely help. If we don't think we're the right fit, we'll tell you and point you somewhere better.
A conversation to guide next steps
You tell us about your child: what you're seeing at home and at school, what's already been tried, and any testing you have. Together we decide whether to review that data or start with an assessment.
A written report and recommendation
We put our findings and a formal recommendation in writing: the program, the schedule we suggest, alternatives, and expected cost. Detailed and knowledgeable, but written to be understood.
A meeting to review it with you
We walk through the report together and answer every question. Nothing starts until you're comfortable with the plan.
Your child begins the program
Instruction is one-to-one with a small team of instructors, coordinated by a dedicated program coordinator who monitors progress and adjusts the plan as your child grows.
Updates throughout, reassessment at the end
You're in the know the entire way: regular updates, progress monitoring, and formal meetings. At the end we reassess to measure growth and talk about what comes next.
Why a small team, not one tutor
Each child works with a small team of instructors rather than a single tutor. It keeps sessions consistent when schedules change, brings more than one perspective to your child's progress, and lets the program coordinator see the whole picture.
Why "intervention," not "tutoring"
Tutoring usually means help with homework. Intervention means changing the underlying skill, so your child can read, spell, and understand on their own. That's a different kind of work, and it's what our instructors are trained for.
